Hopefully somebody can help me come up with the last pieces I need to make this work. What exactly should I connect the ground wire to? Do I NEED a ground wire for a hack like this? Or should I forgo the solderless hack for what I need and hard solder to the points on the PCB (frankly, I’d rather not, but if I have to I have to).

I like the idea of doing this type of a hack, as it’s considerably much less soldering for me to do. The NES hack I listed earlier doesn’t have to ground anything. While reading about the spiffyshoes solderless hack, I noticed the mention of a ground wire. So I decided I wanted to do this with a PS2 controller, since it has enough buttons and has a comfort level I like (my 2nd choice is a classic controller, but I haven’t seen good images of the PCBs of that to have a good way to make it work). I need to have access to ALL of the buttons.

In DesmumeX, I have implemented both the physical buttons of the DS, and the possibility of 'touching' the screen with a virtual 'stylus'. The software offers to save states, button mapping, controller support, and many other features. The screen of below can be touched with a digital pen named 'Stylus'.

Well, not enough buttons for what I want and need. Drastic Ds emulator offers some of the best features which help it save a position on the list of Best Nintendo DS emulators. I saw a hack similar to what I want ( ) which he does it with a NES controller. I’m looking at doing a mod for the Nintendo DS Lite, allowing you to connect a controller through the GBA slot. If playback doesnt begin shortly, try restarting your device.
